God, shave the queen!

It occurred to me that if David Norris makes it to Áras an Uachtaráin - which I sincerely hope he does - becoming the first openly-gay leader of a country in the world, should we address him as 'Mr Precedent?'

    The Icelandic bet us to it with Johanna Sigurdardottir.

    Though he would be the first gay head of state I think?

    Yes, I'm aware of Jóhanna Sigurðardóttir, but she's the prime minister - not the leader, surely?
